not a cop from Michelle

Anthropomorphic Mail Art Project!

An excellent entry from Michelle, of Busy Weekends.

I think it's supposed to say "I am not a cop."
The backside reads "I am young and hip."

I like your postage style, girrrrrrrrl.
It may have been just luck that put the postage cancellation mark on the lion's green hoodie, but it was total visual serendipity.  I like the graphic contrast between the thick, painted horizontal stripes, and the thin, wavy vertical stripes from the cancellation. Also, I'm a sucker for stripes.

Taco Tuesday - drowning victims

After batting his toys around for a while, Taco likes to make sure that they are dead by drowning them.
In his water bowl.

That was a lot of hard work.

the lion and the mouse...stache

Anthropomorphic Mail Art Project!

This one's from Iona, in Scotland, who apologized for being tipsy while making this card.
No apologies necessary, Iona; I think it usually helps.  :)

Nice mustache, indeed. And it's a nice zig-zaggy outfit he's got on, too.

(Thanks, Iona. I finally finished making a card to return to you and it'll be on the way in a day or two.)

Taco Tuesday - homework is exhausting

Taco helps my fiance with his physics homework...by sitting on it.
But complex mathematical operations make Taco very, very tired.

Don't take it personally, math, because most things on paper make Taco tired.

"Hey! Is that a piece of paper? I guess it's nap time again!"

Cyril the giraffe - from Phillip

Anthropomorphic Mail Art Project!

Today we're going to cover a bunch of stuff that Phillip sent.

{in a stage whisper} You are the token giraffe, Cyril. Sorry.

Get a load of those bowler hats! I love it.

This is the postcard that Phillip sent to request an AMAP card.
It does anthropomorphize a bit, or at least I haven't met any talking dragons...yet.
Have you met any talking dragons in your travels?

And finally, Taco got a birthday card from his most loyal royal subject.
I don't know when Taco became the King of Pretty Much Everything, but I suspect Phillip knows.

I like how Ray's shirt on the postage stamp  matches the envelope and the cat's nose. Aaaaaaaaaadorable.

Taco Tuesday - hide your toys!

If you want to keep your toys safe, you have to hide them from the humans.

Make sure it isn't visible from across the room.

It's okay to double check on it.

And triple check.

Is it still in there?

Hang on, I wasn't done playing yet!

Sushi! I love you! Don't leave me!

Sushi, did I leave any of your friends under there?
I can't reach them. Help!
