a tale of two inks

Okay, so matchy matchy Monday isn't really about the stuff I photograph, so much as it's about the colors.
This time, I was taken by the way these two ink colors look next to each other. I like playing with color theory, especially color complements (opposites on the color wheel), and I really like tweaking the hue a bit one way or the other - in such a way that they aren't truly opposites anymore, but they still become very vibrant when viewed together.
Blah, blah, blah. Here's a picture.

The yellow-orange ink is Apache Sunset by Noodler's ink.
The blue hue with a hint of violet is Bleu Ocean by J.Herbin.

They look so. good. together.

If there is one thing you learned today, it's that I love ink in an almost unhealthy way. But please don't call the nice men with a white jacket for me, yet. I have inks to pair together.

Taco Tuesday - sprawling into 2015

 The full sprawl.
Oh, I think he knows how cute he is.
Belly fur. I'm not ashamed to admit I rub my face in his belly at every opportunity.
A really weird way for Taco to cross his kitty legs. That's his tail looping under whatever you'd call a cat's knee.
Do cats have knees? Or are they called something else if they bend the other way?
(Apparently it doesn't matter which way it bends: it's a knee, but on animals, you'd call it a "stifle." Thanks, google.)
