objects of affection

That is how I wrapped my beloved's present on Valentine's Day.

Does the hand-carved heart look familiar?

I use it to make letter sets and itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny notebooks, as shown above.

Taco couldn't help himself.  He had to investigate.  He wanted to know why he wasn't getting a heart-adorned package.
(I told him I make him enough cat toys for a cat army.)

And my beloved brought me a bouquet of roses.

Hot.
Pink.
Origami.
Roses.
I can hardly believe his paper-folding talents, myself.

This place is like a hot bed for creation - people often whine about living someplace boring, but I think that boring places make interesting people.
