the sketchbook project 2011, second installment

The repetitive shapes are stamps that I carved.

I bet you didn't know that there's a barcode on the back of my sketchbook. And YOU get a library card if you go to visit it.

the sketchbook project 2011, first installment

I joined the sketchbook project 2011, which means my sketchbook will be traveling across the nation and then displayed in the Brooklyn Art Library, forever after wards. (An off-shoot of the Brooklyn Art Museum...)
It's kind of awesome.
I decided to take some photos of my work before I give it back to them.

ever seen a silver cactus?

Now you have!
If you want to see it in person, start hitch hiking to Maui, and go up an extinct volcano in Haleakala National Park.
It's so worth it.

mixing prints with drawing

It turns out that I like working on nice watercolor paper.
I'll be doing more of these, and this owl is going to be EVERYWHERE!

cloud photo

I really like taking pictures of clouds from airplane windows.
Clouds look so different when you're not under them!

my first stab at artist trading cards
