a giraffe of many colors

Anthropomorphic Mail Art Project!

My forever-friend (what else do you call someone you've been friends with since elementary school?)
submitted this giraffe, who is clearly professing her love for chewytulip.  (Hey, that's me!)

I maybe just sent her a blank card out of the blue, and to my sheer delight, found out she'd been following my blog all along!  (You are so sneaky!)

Becca thought it would be best to stick to an abstract design - we took art class in high school together, and that may have been the last art "assignment" she had.
But you see those edges, right? I know she broke out the fancy scissors for a patterned edge.
And it looks like acrylic paints in pink and lime and blue and tangerine.  Very summer-y.   :)

Thanks for taking the time to indulge in a little bit of my ridiculousness.  <3 br="">

cat owl tango

Anthropomorphic Mail Art Project!

Darling, you dip me so well.

(I sent this as a reply to my sister's owl card.)

I kind of like the idea of a purple owl...with a cat head.  :)
Happy Tuesday!

deer artist at work

This came back from my aunt Linda.
Her explanation is that her "drawing shows 'Artist at Work - Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall.' The hills represent northern New Jersey."
(That's where she lives.)
She really likes butterflies, and I'm not surprised to see one here.  :)

space bear

Anthropomorphic Mail Art Project

This postcard I did as a thank you to someone who was super cool in a robot swap on swap-bot.

I'm finding that this mail art project is leaking into all of my creative outlets.  I think that's a good thing...

anthropomorphic mail art meets Father's Day with a bit of the banana obsession thrown in for good measure

Anthropomorphic Mail Art Project!!!!

I could not resist turning the Father's Day card into another anthropomorphic abomination.

Taco was a willing accomplice (I mean, napper).

Actually, I made the whole Father's Day gift-thing themed with bananas.
A "nana-clip" started the whole thing.
Then I baked some banana-chocolate chip muffins...which were surprisingly not awful, even though I don't like bananas in my baked goods.  I blame it on the chocolate.

I included one of my postcards...which is a banana, sort of.

And this card! It's a warning!

While I'm talking about bananas, I want to say HOW MUCH I want to run out and buy this for my tiny nephew.
How cute is that?
